Location: Elgin ,IL | Goona be heading down to Shelbyville on 3/22 and 3/23 for some early season musky action. Is it ice free yet? I know they are catching fish at the spillway, but I'm wondering if I'll be able to get a boat in at 9th street? If anyone can let me know, I'd appreciate it! Thanks, :) |

| Rich,
I talk to someone who lives down there on Monday. Some open water. Forecast is for mid to high 60's on the weekend and 60's all next week.
It will be open by the time you get down there. Should be an interesting bite. |

Location: champaign, illinois | Hey guys, word is (from a club member yesterday) that you can launch at Litha and have open water IN THE MAIN LAKE until you hit Buoy Cove to the south, and up to Coon Creek to the north. He didn't specifically mention 9th Street ramp so I don't know about it but more lake will be open by the time you get here on the 21st.
And while you are here anyway...why not help with the fish habitat program being held at Lithia Springs boat ramp that Saturday (the 22nd!) They (we) are planting old xmas trees in Lithia Springs cove. For only a few hours work you get a chili lunch and a map of where the trees are dropped.
Just a thought
