| I want to try Mille Lacs this summer, I know it a beast of a lake but you can be rewarded very nicely. Looking for any tips on where to start north south east west, type of structure to look for etc. Any help would be great. Thanks |

Location: Northern IL | Mille Lacs has a lot of good fishermen on it so you should get some good advice here. As you said its a big lake and one must be prepared to fish it all, if the wind picks up and starts blowing out of the north there's a good chance you'll have to head to the north end and so on. With any lake of this size its gonna take you some time to learn it all but if you can fish the north end both east and west of Red Door would be a good starting point.
Best of luck

| Really depends on when you're planning on going up. Fish can be on the rocks, weeds. or out in the deeps chasing Cisco's. I love fishing that lake but bring some aspirin, it can be a tough nut to crack. There's structure on all ends of the lake to fish but heavy winds can dictate where you fish on a given day. |
