| Hey guys,
I've made a silicon mold for a glider. I am pretty happy with the looks of it. I went for a test run and it runs ok but not what I'm looking for.
It's between 6-8" long and I used about 1/3 micro balloons by volume. Unfortunately I don't have a setup for lead so I drill 3/8" holes and glue cheapo 1/8 oz. sinkers in there.
I feel the overall weight is good and it casts real well, similar to a hellhound.
As for action, it's basically halfway between a glider and walk the dog type lure. Every time I twitch it, the front end rises and after a glide or two it will break the surface.
It's sink rate is comparable to any other glider I own although it sinks almost perfectly level. I know one glider I use sinks slightly nose first so I'm thinking I need some more weight up front.
Any input is greatly appreciated, I would rather not make too many duds as I don't have a ton of resin and I'm not in the market for more any time soon.
Thanks!!!!!

| Post a photo or two if you can. That could help out a lot. |

| Just a suggestion take some split sinkers different weights and flatten them with a hammer. Now take them and tape them to the lure and try it out, you can move them or change weight and put them anywhere on the lure. When you get to where you want the lure to work drill a hole and put that weight in the hole. I made screw weights that I just screw in while in the boat but the tape will work, ive done it that way also.

| I have many different resin baits and it seems all need more weight up front. |

| I will see if I can get a picture up later today. I think I will give the sinkers a try. Hopefully I can work on getting a lead setup next so I don't have 20 tin sinkers hanging off of it.....haha.
Should I try another with fewer microballoons? I used fabricast 50 which is great, I love the fact that it is white. My other experience is with alumilite, which turned out a pinkish-tan. It seems like the alumilite is a heavier/denser material, does anybody else have experience with the two?
Thanks!
