| Havent used many fluted blades last couple years but I have a dbl #8 fluted thats been deadly,,Used it so much its out of shape and dosent give the same kick,,,,How do you guys tune "fluted blade"????
should I just flatten them out,,,put a crve in the whole blade or just the bottom/middle/top or other likely places to look at,,,,the shaft seems straight |

Location: Black Creek, WI | Just like with double 10s... check to ensure the small tab between the hole for the clevis and point of the blade is not bent out of alignment. I also bend the blade to have LESS cup. Last... I'll take a needlenose pliers and crimp any cupping out of the smooth top portion above the flutes. All of the above will give the blade more BITE. | better check your clevis before you go bending blades, 90% of the time they're the culprit, unless you blades are very worn down. usually they open up just a bit or one is more open than the other. squeezing one back together with a needlenose so they both have the same gap will probably fix your problem. |
