| Fished both and had more luck casting on the higher pressred Clearwater.Deep trout water so you have to get them while their up unless your trolling. There are Monsters in there. Portage to Pipe and less pressured and scenic lake and if you struggle casting and not seeing fish troll.I know some guys that do heavy damage mostly trolling on Pipe if that,s your game! GL

| Stayed at an outpost for a week on Pipestone; northwest arm. Best trip I've ever taken. Fishing was good, not great. But the overall experience, combined with the fishing was unbelievable. If you go, the northwest arm is the place to be. PM if you want some specifics, I can remember a few.... |

Location: Minnesota Metro | I fished pipestone twice in 07 and 08. Very scenic lake that is great to visit just for that. Fantastic smallmouth fishing and has some trophy walleye including my biggest to date. I've had some moderate success with muskie but fished mostly on the lower part of the lake. PM me if you want some more info. |
