I'd like to convert the two baitwells in my 681 to dry storage. Does anyone know what this would entail? Thanks. EJ

Permanently plug the drain, remove the spray head, permanently plug that hole, and permanently plug the overflow. Remove the livewell pump and seal that hull hole inside and out with silicone and a small plastic plate with sealant and a couple screws or a wood dowel soaked in resin and driven into the hole, then sealant.

You don't need to do anything permanent. Just plug the drain and unplug the pump. That way you won't get any water in the livewell through the drain or by someone accidentally turning the pump on ... and if you ever want to make it a livewell again you'll have that option. There's absolutely no need to do anything more permanent.

Unless you want to store things you can't get wet. If you do, plug it permanently or Murphy's Law will prevail. One good wave in the overflow, and you have everything in the well wet.

I just plug my baitwell and liveweel off at the transom, they are used for bait storage most the season but are used for their intended use in the srping for keeping tastey walleyes in before filleting.....I pull the plugs after each outing to maintain they stay dry....
