What size and what colors should I pick up for trolling Lake St. Clair in a couple weeks???? Should I use straights or Jointed??? Any tips greatly appreciated.

Most trollers I know start with the smaller 6" lures early in the season & go larger as the season goes on. They usually troll at least one big plug all the time. Natural colors with white bellies for sunny days & yellow bellies for overcast days. Run both straight& jointed until you find out what they want.

Location: Michigan
6" Straights and jointed June-August. Straights on calm clear days or clear water. Jointed on cloudy days or in stained water. But not always:) 10" Striaght from Sept on. Ziggie is a great guy, talented artist, and his baits produce!
