.com. Went creek fishing yesterday with the venerable Buckeye Tom. Creek X is about as wide as a two land road at best, but my 4th cast with this butt-ugly painted Treats bait, got one raised, probably high 20's. Two pools later, got a tug on the same bait by a fish we both saw clearly - mid- 30's! Whoa, big maw on that sow! I was probably a little too pumped and may have yanked before she swallowed, beginners jitters I figure. Tom raised another one twice on a super shad rap, but didn't hook up either. Darkness forced us home but happy. Hey, I'm gettin closer all the time.
Thanks, Sean, for that one-ugly bait. It may be my charm. Mauser, when he saw it at Cave Run, said I would surely catch fish on it - they'd be laughing so hard they'd just roll to the surface, be netted, and photo'd still smiling! All in good fun, of course. m[] []

LOL Mikie!!!!!

I'm glad the Muskie Treat brought you good karma. I know what you mean with the missed hook-ups. Try bending the barbs down on that one and you may have better luck. Also try a 4/0 hook. Glad you liked it. Hopefully I'll see you for the Cave outing this spring. We've got a little one on the way so the cave outing may be my only escape for the season.

Hey, 2 1/2 years and a couple thousand bucks and this is as close as I get. Biggest thrill I've had in a while. With my clothes on, that is. m[]

Muskie Treats are a great walleye lure.
I bought two, but mostly to be cordial.

Tee Hee,
I do have one that runs so damn nice it is a shoe-in for a big pig someday, but even though I ran it often I got no action after a 28" walleye on the Cass Lake trip.

Needs a new tail though,
Papa Joe

That's www.muskietreats.com !!

LOL Papa Joe, I like the action on the other one betterv[:0] . Super glue is the magic fix-it for the tail. That or try melting it together. If that doesn't work, let me know what color it is and I'll see what I've got in the shop. Gotta get them working for spring! They're by far the best spring bait I've used.

Mikie, the name for that color is Bumble F*ck. I thought it was goofy, but that's the one color Paul Hartman requested. If he likes it, it's GOT to be good. He catches too many fish for it not to work!
