I have a Toro 60 and a Curado 300DSV, and I want to use one for a jerkbait rod and one for a topwater/all around rod. I'm probably giving it way more thought than it deserves, but would anybody recommend against either reel as the jerkbait reel? I haven't heard anything bad about the anti-reverse bearings in either reel, but I figured asking never hurt.

I have been using 300DSV's on both my jerkbait rods for years with no issues. Nice light reel that is easy to palm I also have toro 50 & 60 on other rods just prefer the curado for jerkbaits.

Ah yes, sell two reels so I can use that money to buy one reel that's just a slightly faster version of the same thing as the two reels I just sold. That's interesting advice.

Anyway, I'm going to conclude that since you listed both, you're recommending them equally, which tells me that if it were you, you wouldn't have a preference as to which one was used for what. So thank you, in a roundabout way.

As long as you thumb the spool with jerkbaits, your AR bearings will be OK. You would not believe the stress this saves your reels.
