Can anyone suggest a good short trolling rod (7' or shorter) for my down rods?

i know its cheap, but the compare series from shimano works great for short lining. haven't had a problem with them and the lifetime on them is always great

Hard to find now days but the St. Criox Pro Glass (blue) rods work well. Or maybe 7' lami rod.

Almost every person on this board has an old short rod that they'd love to get rid of. You don't need anything fancy for a down rod. I've got a couple of Ugly Sticks in 7' MH that were $23 on sale. Tough to beat.
