I thought some of you would like to see this walleye that was caught in the Columbia River in the state of Washington the other day. I don't know the angler, a friend sent me the pic. The fish weighed 18.6 pounds.

Thats about 4#'s heavier than the Iowa state record, NICE!!

Yea there are some very big walleye on the Columbia. A friend got one last week about a pound shy of this one and I often hear of them in the 14-16 pound range. I think the Oregon state record is around 20#.

nice fish the bite is about to start in se wi. the rivers are opening up and it looks like we have some warmer weather on the way. cant wait to be back in the boat.
