Hello, I recently moved to NE Oklahoma but I'm looking into getting after some muskies again. I've done some research and have a list of lakes in Missouri that have muskies in them. Fellows Lake is the closest one to me, so I've chosen to pursue toothy critters in this lake first. Does anyone fish this lake regularly or had any success on it? If so, what were some of your tactics, etc. that you used to find some fish. Thanks a lot!

One thing to keep in mind, this lake has a 40 hp maximum, and you must get a sticker every year. You cannot launch your boat on the lake with larger than a 40. One of the dumbest rules I've ever heard of. My buddy Fred had to go and sell his boat, so I haven't been on it for a while. I've fished it a couple of times, but never caught anything. There are some nice weeds, steep breaks, and points with stumps.

Know anything about the boat rentals at the marina? That is a very odd rule, I also read that you can only fish it from dawn to dusk, I guess that's a utilities lake for you!

Not even dawn to dusk-whenever the guard opens the gate until whenever the guard says he's going to close the gate. Every time i've been there we've been parked waiting for the gate to open. The lake is Springfield's water supply. I don't understand how making the lake trolling motor only for bigger boats would harm anything. They also have like a 1/3 of the lake buoyed off to "protect" the area around the water intake.
