| I bought a abu garcia C4 6600 last year for small bucktails and topwater.
last week I had a 41 in. tiger crush a crane crankbait. When the fish hit my drag slipped and made a noise. After all that now the reel backreels sometimes and cant hold up the weight of a lure unless I hold the spool when casting. Any ideas on what happened or how i can fix it. |

Location: Cave Run Lake KY. | Sounds like your instant Anti-Reverse bearing is broken thats the one just under the reel handle,if it's new send it to the company and they will fix it. If you have a reel repair shop nearby just take it in and they can fix it. It sounds like you had you drag set way to tight and the weight of the fish and the hookset just striped the bearing. I set my drag's super tight but with all that pressure somthing has to brake |

Location: Hayward WI | Send it back to Abu in Spirit Lake, IA. They replaced my Record 60 with a new one earlier this year, no charge, had it back within 5 days |

| Common problem with the newer Abu Garcia reels. Wish they would improve the design. If your warranty is expired, you can order a new side plate which has the AR bearing pressed into it. |
