For sale, one set 4.2:1 ratio gears for Maina PM3000 reel. $10, I'll pick up the shipping, and I'll make sure they get to you in good shape, fair and square, unlike the ones I recently got on here. Will take cash, check, or money order. PM or email me. Thanks for looking

I would be interested. Are they easy to install? Are they better than the 5.2 gears mine has now?

Very easy. PM me and I can walk you through it. As for better than 5.2 it's more a matter of what ratio you're looking for. If you want to crank high resistance baits like big blades, the 4.2 gears work great, especially for slow rolling at night. Very easy retrieve but you get to keep using the smaller reel, which comes in handy if you like to palm the reel, so you don't have to go to one of the bigger, heavier reels.

Guy I bought them from tried to mail the gears in a regular letter envelope - they didn't make it. I was converting one of my two 4.2 reels to a 5.2, so I got the 5.2 gears from Bass Pro after this guy was no help and now have an extra set of 4.2.
