Location: Germantown, WI | Considering listing my boat for sale, but not sure what is best website to find market value of the boat....... NADA, BlueBook, other. If i use NADA, looks like i have to value boat and motor seperately, is that typical of these sites? I would appreciate someone who can educate me here.
Thanks! |

Location: Kodiak, AK | I'm not a banker, but a buddy's wife who is say they go off of NADA prices, so that's what matters when it comes time to buy/sell. As far as valuing them separately, I'd not worry about that until it comes time for a loan. When I bought my boat from Sled, I was approved for $XX,XXX for the boat and then $X,XXX for the motor, and that was the combined amount of what I was approved for. So when you go to price it, price it accordingly to cover both. |

| I have sold several boats over the years and I have always found NADA to be very conservative on pricing. My suggestion would be to do research on several websites such as boattrader, ebay etc. to get a comparable value to your boat.

Location: Germantown, WI | Thanks Guys. I also thought NADA was about 10-15% lower than i would have expected and from what i've seen something similiar listed for in the marketplace. I obviously am more concerned about getting it sold than maximum top dollar, so somewhere in between is probably about right. |

| You also need to figure in the value of your trailer if using NADA. Best bet is to search as many sites as possible. Craigslist, boat trader, walleye central, ect ect. |
