1000 acres. Stained. Dranage lake. Watch for hazards.

Location: Eau Claire, WI
Fishes like all the other chippewa river waters as far as baits/presentations/locations. Plenty of hazards, need to watch out. Most are along the margins but there are some center channel areas that are dicey. Some big floaters too if the water has been up. Old Abe can run hot/cold. Wissota is more consistent.

Lots more activity on O.A. now due largely to campground development. Not always a great scene as the landings aren't built for the volume AND the lake is narrow so if you get a lot of pleasure craft, not a lot of places to hide. Still there are busier lakes in the area. Fish it on a weekday if you can. Good luck.
