| Looking at a setup that will work for Bass-walleye and would handle muskie which I may go after once or twice a year. I've never done any muskie fishing, but havd a friend/business acquaintance that does a lot and I think it's time we have an outing together.
My idea:

I think your setup is perfect for what you're looking to do. I have the same rod for bass/walleye/musky and it handles muskies very well. It's a great rod for the purposes you mention. I don't have the Revo Toro reel, but have a Quantum Accurist with 50 lb. Power Pro paired with this rod, and is similar to the Revo Toro. Mine doesn't get much action later in the year when the big musky stuff is all I'm using, but I really like this setup for an "all around" multi species rig. |

Location: Irvine, KY | Id go with the standard 5.4:1 so you can pull big blades without having it crap out on you... sure you'll have to work harder and reel faster with jerkbaits... but youre looking for an all-arounder. Cant pull big blades with the HS. |
