| Well, my brother finally got his cherry popped today on Lake Minnetonka. We went out for abotu 3 hours or so this am, and hadn't been fishing very long when I had a follow from a nice 44" or so fish, and just for giggles my brother threw a perch Suick in the direction that we saw the fish swim off. Obviously not holding my breath I continued fishing, and all of the sudden he says "Oh my god. Oh my god." and I turn and sure enough he has a fish on. He got it up to the boat, and let's just say we'd have had to REALLY stretch it to make 30. We didn't measure it while it was still in the water, and had to cut hooks, etc so we didn't want to waste more time measuring it, just snapped a quick picture and let it go. I'd guess it was 27-28ish. "I was so excited when I saw that the spots were dark instead of white" he said. (He always catches northerns when we muskie fish)
So, anyhow, I'd just like to welcome my brother Pat to the world of muskie catchingness. |

| That's what I'm hoping for, that way I have a steady fishign partner available. I bought him a St. Croix rod for x-mas, so I at least got him guilted into it this far. [:devil:] I figure catching the fish should do the rest. |

| Way to go Pat!! Northerns are nothing to sneeze at, but catching one's first Ski is a milestone...or a millstone, depending on your perspective![:bigsmile:] |
