From what my Father-In-Law (who is a job placement specialist) tells me right now in the Rhinelander area they are really hurting for service industry jobs. Lots of people have left to work at the new big box stores. If you have any interstet in bar tending, waiting tables, busting tables washing dishes, or other such work. It can be found in this area.

Guest,

Also check out the DNR's website (www.dnr.wi.gov). I applied for a Visitor Service Associate position and just interviewed up in Woodruff this last weekend for it. There's usually different types of jobs you can find on there as well, like Maintenance jobs. If I get offered the job, I'd be the happiest man in the world!!! Summer job in Northern Wisconsin with a boat, free place to stay right on Trout... wow!
Good luck finding something; if you do, let me know...I'm not guaranteed this job at all so I'm still looking for different ones.

Try NOTO website. Lots of listings, may be futher east in ON than you want to go though.

Guest, not sure if I've talked to you before but I've had a few guys ask me about jobs for the summer. If you're not a local be sure to find out about housing costs in the area. I could get good guys jobs but they can't afford to live on what you would make at a retail store or other associated businesses. Resorts do hire summer help and I would look toward some of the bigger ones that may have a program that offers housing included.
