Location: Elko - Lake Vermilion | I bought a new skeeter in Sept. 2004. last fall(2006) I noticed that the drivers and passengers seats were ripping at the seems.
I looked at my warranty and this is not covered, called Skeeter and they have changed suppliers but they regret that they can't help me....
So now I'm on my own... I went to two places today to see how much it would cost to get them recovered.
The two front seats will cost $250.00 each, and the 3 rear seats will be $160.00 each..... What the Heck! This seems like way to much money !
Am I stuck or do I have any other options. What should I do ?

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Buy seats from a source of your choice or recover them yourself. I don't know of a single boat company that warrants upholstery for more than a couple years.
Try marine supply catalogs, Cabelas, etc.
Try a couple Skeeter dealers and see if they have an extra seat or two around. You can also recover them yourself, it's really not that hard to do, |

Location: Elko - Lake Vermilion | I went and got 4 estimates that ranged from $750.00 to $1,600.00 to recover 5 seats for my skeeter using a much higher quality material.
Thanks for your input guys.

| you can buy brand new seats made by fish on, these are really nice seats they cost under 100.00 i had them in my guide boats they held up to the abuse that a guide boat takes. also you can take off the covers in the winter, these seats are bombproof. |
