| This is no joke....I have a bug up my a@@ to make some changes on my boat, but I need a little help!! The boat is getting a new doo....black with a tigershark mouth. But what is the best paint for over aluminum, and where can I get a good stencil for the mouth part?? There is no such thing as a dumb question.....just a stupid person who is asking the question.

| Slamr, are you sanding down to bare metal or painting over the old paint job? If you are sanding to bare metal then use a marine grade primer. If you are painting over the old paint, I would suggest lightly scuffing the existing paint and using a tac cloth to remove excess debry and using a primer to touch up any bare metal spots for better adhesion. The primer is key if you are painting over bare aluminum. PPG makes some of the better marine quality products out there. Most of them are two part systems that require a catalyst to dry the paint. PPG makes the paint you see on Lund boats. These type products are hard to find. Possibly you can purchas them through a marine repair shop. Email me if there are any other questions I can answer. You saw my old boat. It was painted with Sherwin Williams commercial truck paint over a compatable marine primer. I painted it at work when I used to work for Sherwin Williams automotive paint laboratories. |

| How about painting the boat flat black, paint the teeth on the bow, then paint "I H8 PWCs!" on each side with great big hunter orange letters?[] |
