Now the handle spins freely in either direction.
I have used this reel maybe 5 times. MAYBE. I bought it at the beginning of last season, kept it in my tackle bag as a spare, finally decided to break it out Saturday for the FRV tournament, figured it would be nice to give my newest reel a workout for the first day of my season.
I'm not a product basher, but this reel had all of about 10 hours on it. Not 10 hours casting pounders or pulling cowgirls mind you, this was used strictly for normal sized bucktails and spinnerbaits.
The color hasn't even faded out of the line yet, and the reel is toast...
Of course it's about a month out of warranty, and to top it off I bought it at Ed Shirley's, which I believe is now gone forever
I used to make fun of guys who "broke" reels... |

| Update: Sent the reel to Abu last week, with a brief note describing what happened. I also mentioned that I was not satisfied with the durability of the product since I had only used it a few times.
Yesterday when I got home from work there was a box waiting on my doorstep, inside of which I found what looks to be a brand new reel!

Location: Crystal Lake,Illinois 60014 | I sent 3 of mine back during the winter.....I recieved 3 new Record H.C. within 3 weeks.
Just sent my letter along with reciepts, got a hat and a few stickers too.
They have been A+ so far.
Abu has been wonderful the last 2 years with customer service.

| Mine is having problems, D5 but I have no receipt, I do have the box, would they still take it?
