Headed out to one of my spring walleye spots since it was 52 degrees outside today. I had a feeling that the water was going to be a bit cold for the walleyes to be up there yet, but I thought I would give it a whirl anyways. When I got there ice bergs, big enough to rip a whole in my waders and sink me like the titanic, were drifting down the current. This sight swayed a few warry people from tossing a few jigs in, but not me. I needed to knock the rust off the casting arms, and get a feel for what it was like to bump into rocks and how to get snags out again. After about 45 minutes standing in the frigid water I decided to pack it in as I hadnt had any luck anyways.

Also brought Becky and my new camera out to snap some pictures and get some practice using it. Spring is coming, here are the pictures to prove it.......

I still think you are a wuss for getting "cold." Someday Mike me or my brother will show you the joys of trapping beaver through the ice.
