Thought I would share this picture of a fish I caught from the Fox. I find it strange how pale the fish was. Yes the water is pretty murky, but all of the other fish in the river usually have awesome markings and appear to be very, very healthy. The fish seemed to be in good shape and took very little time to get her to swim off the same way she fought in. Any ideas as to why the fish could be so pale? Any conditions? Just wondering because I have only seen fish like this from Cave Run and very rare from any other place. BTW: the fish was caught in water less than 80 degrees.

It looks like a pigment anomoly and not a 'water clarity or color' issue. Maybe Mr. Neuswanger will see this and chime in, or Sorno.

I fish from Geneva to Millington but mostly in the southern portion of the river cause its closer to home. The river averages probably 2ft so anywhere you can find a little deeper water is best. Feeder creeks can be good on hot days and early morning the main portion of the river.
