Location: On the X that marks the mucky spot | Well I was driving around Tonka today and noticed that under one of the bridges there was some open water. I have been wanting to throw some of the new Muskie Treats and other baits I got over x-mas so I went over there with some baits over lunch.
First cast was with one of the Red October tubes and sure enough I had a hard charging 40-42"er coming in on it. The line got hung up on the ice towards shore so I started vertically jigging the tube. The fish missed once and then just poked at it.
What's even more funny is that there was an icefisherman just 50' away watching the whole thing.
