| How do you keep the neutral buoyancy of a Husky Jerk when you must change the hooks and split rings because the ones that came on the bait are to weak for muskie?
I have been playing with hook size, split ring size and the number of hooks used on the bait. I am checking to see if anyone has the correct combination figured out.

| David you cant change hooks......they will work TRUST ME.. I have seen 44" caught on them with ease.
You must use 20lb mono tied directly...take your chances...but it wont work at all without taking the chance.
A hit is better then NO HIT on tough days...I always say.[] |

| the smaller ones sink but the 14cm one suspends even with a cable wire-leader. Of course don't use a thick one, just 24pounds test will do. |

| I also put light steel split rings on the big ones, as the little copper ones suck and will bend and pull out. I use a little south bend invisa leader on the huskies and they work well, though they kink up quickly. |
