Location: Wausau | Wondering if I plan to run my 150 Yamaha 4 stroke to the end of the season, do I need to do any precautionary steps (I already have added Sta-bil). I currently have it stored outside. I plan on having winterized at the end of the season and stored in-doors.
Anyone in the Wausau area very familiar with winterizing who would be willing to teach me the process for a few extra bucks?
Thank you in advance for all replys. |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Drain the lower unit and replace the gear lube, run the motor out of gas, pull the plugs and use fogging oil to spray in the cylinders turning it over just a little. It's better to be running water through a hook up so your water pump is lubed while you turn the motor over, even alittle. Stabil in the gas, and you are set. |

Location: Eau Claire, WI | Just make sure after each use that you tilt the motor in the fully lowered postion for a few minutes at the boat launch giving it time to allow the water to drain from the motor. I usually do this while I finish tieing down the boat and taking my heavy clothes off. Other than that, follow the instructions Steve suggested above. |

| Do not run it out of gas, hard on the electric fuel pump. |
