I'm considering purchasing a downrigger next year for trolling. Doesn't seem that many Musky guys use them. Looking for opinions on this? Wondering...is the Radtke Pike Minnow a good bait for downriggerss? Thanks - Tom

Downriggers are an underutilized option for muskie fishing where I am from (Indiana). They enable you to run baits at precise depths and precise distances behind the boat. Large lightweight spoons like the Northern King M80 work great, along with jerk baits and of course crankbaits. Good luck!

thanks for the info. That's what I was thinking of using. Shallow running minnowbaits and spoons.

Don't forget to try a bulldawg behind one also!!!! I have had luck with these in Indiana and St. Clair.
