Fellas,
Get to go to Lake Vermillion for work this weekend but am bringing the boat. Will be staying on Wakemup bay. Any tip, tricks, or hazards I should be aware of?
Thanks

Just hang out at The Landing and you will be fine Komer. No need for the boat to even get wet.

Location: Lake Vermilion Tower, MN
Lots of structure in Wakemup Bay to fish.
Primary areas on the west end are island and mainlake points.
Also look for neck downs and saddles in windy areas.

Most of the reefs in Wakemup get pounded pretty good, however they still produce a big one on occasion.

Thanks Terry!
Looked pretty good on map. I bet it gets pounded, lots of structure with an access right there.

I thought I was on the Minnetonka of the North! Huge boats, skiers, jet skiers fisherman, paddleboats. Fished all the traditional spots in Wakemup and did't raise a musky. Pounded on the northerns, but no musky. Had to hold on for dear life a couple times to avoid being bucked off the casting deck of the Skeeter. Very scenic water, but to much weekend traffic. at about 7:30pm was fishing a tiny bay loaded with cabbage and rocks, looked to be prime UNTIL a young punk in a mastercraft decide to buzz the whole bay with a skier. After that had enough, went back to cabin to catch something--- A BUZZ!
