| Just wanted to give some props to Musky Treats (Shawn Kellett). He guided us on 7/2. He's one of the best guides I've booked and was very patient with the young un's that I brought along. And he was even able to locate some fish. I never got hooks into the one that hit mine (asleep at the wheel), but Shawn was able to put a nice one in about 15 mins later. I'll let him post picts etc.
Thanks Shawn, it was well worth the money. |

Thanks for the complements. I only wish you could have put hooks in that one. That would haev been a double for that spot.
Now if it would only get warm again... |

| Treats,
You better be careful pal, you're getting a reputation.
BTW I had a nice follow on the bright orange Treat I got from you at Cass Lake, the fish didn't strike, but seemed to be kind of hypnotized by the dang thing. So I tried to whack the fish in the head with another lure, but it still just sat there. Have you seen this happen before? It was like the fish was a zombie. I even thought about trying to net it without hooks, it just didn't seem to want to move.
Swam away slowly, but I thought it looked groggy.
Hope to see ya soon,
Papa Joe |

| fwiw,
the two fish came at the tail end of "prime fishing time" according to the tables. The window was 12:05 - 2:03. My strike came about 1:30ish, Treats was in the net at 1:50. |
