It's been quite a while since I last posted but I'm back to making lures again. 12" basswood, one rattle chamber, glow eyes, plastic bill in a walleye like pattern.

Glow eye. Wow, I have images of tossing that on Eagle Lake right before you have to exit at dark. Maybe troll on way back to lodge?

Most of my lures are 14-16 ounces. Casting one all day could seriously mess with your rotator cuff and shoulder joints. They're actually made more for trolling.

I have two and have only trolled the one. The other is displayed on my shop wall. I was really not looking at a lot of casts, just making a few casts around a school of walleyes that have been located. We hooked two giants last summer while jigging for walleyes, neither of which did we come close to landing. Both grabbed smaller walleyes we had hooked. I speculated that the sight/sound of a hooked walleye attracts the musky.
