Posts: 20227 Location: oswego, il | I ordered some #8 Colorado blades online and one of the issues I have is being able to tell what blade i am getting. Sure enough they are the very round and flat thin blade. If you make bucktails with them, a single will not spin. Doubles of the same will not always start, spin opposite and if they do at al.ost 90 degrees to the shaft and cannot burn. I have tried some different combos and pairing them with a standard 8 Colorado they will not spin opposite of one another. I did make one with a #6 and a #4 french and that one works. Just trying to figure out what blades may work with them. Pictured is the gold round flat blade next to one with more cup that you see on a bucktail. Posts: 492 Location: Northern Illinois | Have you tried a .040 blade with them? Just thinking that maybe a heavier blade may throw the blades out of balance and get them turning. I have not tried it myself when I was making them.

Posts: 669 Location: Twin Cities, MN | Not sure where I got it, but I have a print out that gives me blade sizes I can match up to whenever I am not sure what I got. Just lay it on the print out and it matches the outline of the blade. That said, I get all my blades / shafts / components / etc, through Moores Lures, and have never had any issues. Pal

Posts: 1420 Location: Brighton CO. | I make my own bucktails and add a snap to a spinnerbait to change blades so I've bought stuff from Dick Moore for pushing 30 years and R&H for the same amount of time along with Lure parts Online and lure and Leaders. What ever vendor we use they will have say a size 8# but in different thicknesses, some are more cupped so before I chose what I'm going to use I cheek out my options. (and yes I've cut apart new bucktails of I don't like what I made) Also you can bent them by hand or tap them with a hammer whatever it takes.

Posts: 20227 Location: oswego, il | These blades came from one of the places mentioned above. I've tried them with an 8, mag 8, 8 8 indiana a and a 6 French. They don't spin opposite. Awhile back i put one on a spinnerbait and didn't spin well. I have no idea what these blades are.meant for.
