Has anybody used the newer Dreamweaver Ninja planer boards for pulling around musky baits, specifically 10” and 12” headlocks and Matlock? Curious on how they operate. I fish solo 99% of the time so the single button release looks appealing. Thanks!

They are my favorite boards, switched entirely to them for exactly the reason you stated.

So far, knock on wood, haven't had issues with clips breaking or getting stuck when a fish is on, line slipping, etc. Really like them a ton since finding some in Canada a couple years ago.

Awesome! Have you tried pulling around headlocks or matlocks with the ninja?

Have tried them for salmon both sizes. They do work and releasing the board is very easy. I think attaching the board is a pain because you have to attach the line in two spots at the same time and the line has to be at two different angles. There is a trick to it but not always 100%. I prefer my church boards with the metal pin upgrade and the offshore latch clip. It seems to be the most trouble free setup.

Yep, haven't had any problems with really large or hard pulling baits.

As was stated above, there's a bit of a trick to getting the line to go on, but, at least with me, I figured out a good system and it's so quick and easy both on and off now. I probably should by a few more so that if any do break I have extras.
