Location: Chicago, Beverly | According to St Croix they are made by Daiwa. If I remember right the difference may be the Daiwa has 6BB and the St Croix has 4BB. Haven'tused one myself yet. |

Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin | I talked to Rich from St Croix last night at the Milwaukee Muskie Expo. He was very excited about the reels.
They are 4 ball bearing reels, listed as 3 + 1 roller clutch bearing.
The reels list for $210.00 for the AC300.
Looks like a quality built reel that can take the abuse of guide/client/tournament fishing.
I am going to try a couple of them out this year.

Location: Davenport, IA | Sounds like its a millionaire cvx. I have a 253a cvx and paid only $80 for it. But i've never seen the 300 for that cheap. It is my favorite reel, its very smooth and solid. You won't find plastic in it like you will a shimano. |

| I fondled them in Milwaukee and will be getting some of them. I was truely impressed. They are a hell of a reel for the price. Definitely not a short term investment. They look like they have a long life expectency.
