I'm looking to fish either Bone or Cedar lake in Polk/Saint Croix county sometime this week. Reading old forums it seems that spearing has really taken a toll on Bone. Is this still the case? I couldn't find much on Cedar lake at all. Any tips for these lakes this time of year? Or is there a different lake in the area worth trying? Thank you

Only fished cedar a couple times I live in Indiana but have fished Polk co lakes all my life bone and deer have taken hits in recent years w spearing but still fish to be had I’ve done well with black hair and perch colored cranks and jerk baits. I’ll be headed up there this week for a week or so hopefully the fish are hungry. Good luck

Few lazy follows on deer for opener and couple hits on suckers. Skunked on bone just this past Friday, was very windy though.

They were pretty small. 6 to 8", right in Saint Croix Falls at bait shop.
