Hello,

This weekend I'm going to my local store for a new Mh rod. Suggestions are going to the st croix legend tournament but the westin w4 monsterstick is also a possibility.
I know that the st croix rods are an piece of art, the money doesn't matter.
Mostly I Fish from the bank on pike in Europe, sadly no musky over here.

I Mostly Fish with 3,5-7 oz swimbaits.
My current reels are a calcutta conquest 300 and a tranx 400.
The Legend Tournament Musky Tmu80mhf is classed as an 3 oz rod but I am told that the rod is good up to 7,5oz.
Any Suggestions?

Why not look at the St Croix Heavy instead of medium-heavy? Rated for 3-8 oz. I have an 8' MH and 9' H. I've gone up to 5 oz on the MH but it's a lob cast and not what I'd choose. I doubt it would handle 8 oz well at all.

200% go with the 3-8 oz sling blade, it the the perfect rod for that range,

Thanks for the advice! I just looked up the sling blade and indeed it would be better for the weight range, a lot of retailers in Europe say that the st croix rods are underrated in throwing weight but I think that st croix knows very well what their rods can handle!

Also the longer rod would be better from on the bank, is there any difference in the km or the lmc or is it just split Cork and full Cork? Btw the full Cork looks badass!

A thing to note is that, a lot of people in Europe prefer the much slower action rods, (loads deeper in the blank) and therefor feel the St Croix are way way underrated.
