Has anyone spent much time throwing these? I grabbed one for R&H over the weekend pretty much because I struggle leaving a website without buying something new and shiny...

Curious to see how much of a difference, if any, any of you have noticed the larger tail makes on a small profile bait. I have more mag dawgs than I can count, so I opted for the regular body alpha (with a mag tail) in the hopes it will produce when small baits are working, yet cause a little more disturbance than other regular dawgs.

I think they can be effective seem to have a slower fall than a regular and should be a good pullbait.

Slower fall would be great - better than trying to keep a mag clear over suspended weeds at least.

I am not a fan. I can cast mags and pounders all day and get a dawg ball or two. With the alpha dawgs it seems like a get one every 5 or 6 casts.
