Anyone know anything about these lakes? May have an opportunity to fish them. Many muskies?

I think all three lakes in the Eau Claire chain have pretty low densities. They are all extremely clear with Upper being the deepest at about 92'. Upper is a cisco based lake so if you contact a fish it should be thick.

All in all I would say your percentages are pretty low on the EC chain.

A guy is willing to let me use his family's cabin, on the lake which he said is private. Only 4 homes on the lake, no public launches, and it's controlled by the DNR.

Jim-

Sounds to me like you will be staying on one of the lakes that is attached to one of the Eau Claires. Can't really give you any help if that is the case but good luck.

If you have a chance for a free place to stay on any of the lakes I would definitely go for it.

The Eau Claires can be tough but if you would be working otherwise then you can't miss by fishing.

Jim, I was on Middle a few falls ago, had something BIG grab a sucker, as I set the hook the snap on my Herbie Rig broke.....THE reason I am snapless now, only use split-rings.

Was on Lower a couple of times this summer already, a guy I work with lives on the lake. We have moved some nice ones, he has been chasing a fatty that has teased him all summer.

There are some good spots on lower that arent on the map. It is definately worthy of another visit for me this fall, from what I saw out there.
When you coming up? I'm going back up soon, it's about 60 min from my place.
