All weekend high-sky, sunny, tons of pleasure boaters, and the promise of a front passing on Sunday. Bust your butt all weekend for a couple of folows and one strike.... The weather front decides to stall and show up now when I have to be in the office and look out the window at the best fishing conditions we've had in the past 7-9 days...

Suppose if I told the boss I need a sick day he'd buy it...?

Nothing like the weatherman using you for a Pin'ata...

Steve Van Lieshout was here, close enough to you for the Van Lieshout effect to slam you upside the head. I think the record distance for the effect is about 350 miles. He left about 6 last night, and the clouds immediately moved in. We fished really hard for two muskies and a couple follows, and didn't get Theedz his 40 in the process, but the Theedz Curse and the Van Lieshout effect wasn't enough to stop us from having a great time.

hehehe

I left Milwaukee at 2:00 AM, and got to Jason's house at 5:40. Didn't see any movement inside, so went to town and got a coffee refill. On the way, I made my wake up calls to the Extreme One, Cady, and GregM! Wanted to make sure they didn't oversleep for the PMTT 1st day! Only Gregger answerred. Wished him luck, and sipped my coffee in Jason's driveway. When the door of the Tuffy corral began to open, I knew Jason was up and ready to hit the water.

We were pumped, figuring with the wind being steady, some of those oints should have had fish stcked up on them. Launched the boat, saw Mark H, and went to our first spot. Fished it through, then the next, and the next, and the next, and so on and so on. All day long, we went from spot to spot, returning to several, all to no avail. I think I saw nearly every potential spot on the Wissota chain! What a tough day.

Fished a couple other smaller lakes with Mark in Jason's boat Sunday morning. I lost a mid 30, and we saw a couple others. Next lake, Mark lost 2 within minutes of each other. I guess when you use a trolling rod for casting Slammer DB's, that's what happens!

Mark and Jason, thanks for a great weekend. Even though we blanked, it's always fun to fish with you guys, and to see some new waters. Give me a call when you're coming down this way!

I could give you some additive for your breakfast on Saturday morning this weekend. I am sure we will dump a few cold ones on Friday night.
Strange breakfast combo Mark.
Fishing was hot on the chain. We raised over 30 fish and caught 5. Too bad none were caight during tournament hours. We did loose 4 fish that hit our baits and raised 21 fish during the contest. Great weekend of fishing but very agrivating for a contestant. One of the 8-40 plus inchers would have given us 4th or better. Thats tournament fishing, nothing comes easy.
See you Friday Mark.

I cry this same song all the time. At least it gives us a built in excuse..fishing when the fishing is no good. The only way I'll ever get out every time I want to is to do it for a living, but then I'd starve, lose the wife and kids, house, car, blah blah.
