| Just saw Art Linkletter on a local political commercial, and reality slapped me out of me chair and onto the floor; memories of the heros I grew up w/ flooded me head like a dam burst, and the realization that they are fast exiting this life is almost more than I can handle!:( As I lay on the floor staring at the ceiling for hours at a time, I think back over the years and see just how much these folks influenced my life for the better; Helen Keller taught me how to feel me way through hard times...Grandma Moses showed us that we can create a master piece no matter how old we are...I'm just now realizing that Buffalo Bob represents the bosses' of this world, and that the rest of us are the Howdy Doodies; the Buff. Bobs jam their hand up our back and make us do whatever they please!. Roy Rogers/Dale Evans showed us that you can wear goofy looking sequined outfits and still stay married...Burl Ives taught me how to sing and gorge continuously, and that life truely is a buffet...a daily 30 minute intake of Mr. Rogers brought me from a life of stupidty and reefer preference to a craving for skim milk, helping others and cardigan sweaters...Timothy Leary showed me that there is more than one way to the moon, and thank goodness Fred Rogers was there for the crash landing...there are too many to thank at this time; these times are made all the harder as I haven't caught a 'ski in 2 years. Anyone else struggling w/ such crippling thoughts? Let us look to Worrall/Slamr-- these 2 have taken the cat by the tail and are carving out new lives for themselves and others, giving the rest of us hope for the future! |

Location: Stevens Point, Wi. | Sponge, it sounds like you need a quick remedy to escape the doldrums. Grab an empty soup can, head out to the garden and fill with a couple dozen worms, and head for the nearest crick with a cane pole over your shoulder. It works every time. |

| Got a daggone trout stream below the hootch, but find it hard to fight off the fly fisher peeps; next week you can start using bait etc. and keep some, so maybe I'll grab little sponge and slide down the hill! I often lay in the floor; that way I'm already there before Spongette puts me there...make sense? |
