Location: Duluth, MN | From what i understand the gas tank on these older models is towards the front of the boat and might effect handling on rougher water. They did not move the gas tank to the middle\back until 2002. Does anyone know that for sure? Might have a chance to get one and did not know this before...now i'm having second thoughts.
Anyone have experience with a 99,00,01 619vs 620vs and how it handled? |

| I would worry more about the motor than the handling. Owned a couple during these years and it comes down to the driver. The years after (tank change) are better but in rough water driven right the old ones do the same if not better. If it is a good deal I would not hesitate. |

Location: Lake Elmo, MN | Never heard any handling issues with these boats. I actually looked at buying a 2003 619, when I bought my former 518 bass boat. I know their hull design was completely different than the models starting I think in 2007. The later model hull work resulted in a drier ride and more stable tracking. |

Location: Minnetonka | The old 619s, 620s and 680/690 boats had a front tank. It's not a significant handling issue, but they do tend to porpoise on a full tank of gas and loaded with gear. Knowing how to throttle and trim your motor will solve it in most cases. It's a super stable platform that will cut through the rough stuff. Even those older model Ranger hulls run/track/fish better than half of the new fiberglass boats on the market. |
