I am interested in working with lexan for some bait tinkering that I am doing. I was wondering what type of blade I should use to cut it. Also I want to bend it at about a 45 degree angle. I have heard if you heat it up it will bend pretty easy. How thick could I go before it would be too hard to bend? Any suggestions?

Drop me an e-mail and I'll send you my Dad's home phone.  He makes some great crankbaits and would love to talk to you about it.

I've found the 1/8th thickness bends pretty good if you score it just a little and then heat it up. They seem to hold up good afterwards, too.

A paneling saw blade is recommended. I wouldn't score it. Torch works the best to bend it. Higher quality "lexan" at 1/4" will bend if you know what your doing.

For cutting plexi-glass (I would think lexan would be simular) I was told by the guys who make the hanging Musky boxes with the stuff to put the blade on backwards (yes backwards) on the table saw and it cuts nice.
