Posts: 1202 Location: Money, PA | Oh yeah, I just meant I was interested in seeing your work as it comes along....I didn't mean for you to post a bunch of your older stuff...no biggie though. Why don't you take pictures of your work still? I always like to just to keep records and patterns to refer back to if it hasn't been done in awhile. Take care.

Posts: 38 | I used the clear coat from omni and have been for a few years they hold up just fine however I apply 3-4 coats to my baits I just started trying everlite 2 part epoxy and will see if works as well. I protect my baits from hook scratches on the sides with clear heat shrink around the split rigs to stop the hook from pivoting all the way up to the side of the lures. I think we all would like to protect or time consuming paintjobs and this is one solution I have found to work, maybe some clear surgical tube would work also havent tryed that yet. I spray the omni out of my airbrush and it sprays just fine however you have to reduce it with the thinner and it is a pain to clean your gun out after making sure you get all the clear out of your airbrush with thinner. I am concerned about the weight factor like on the hellhounds, using everlite epoxy but every hellhound I have thrown seems to weight and run a little different, will findout soon enough when this long winter finally ends.

I have seen quite a few patterns you have done over the last year (as you paint for my buddy) and they are all just SICK! I can't wait to see what you do next Edited by FAT-SKI 5/7/2013 10:28 AM

Posts: 994 Location: Minnesota: where it's tough to be a sportsfan! | There is one problem with Kodiak's paint work that I have noticed over the last few years. He will not sell his works of art cheap enough for us "old guys" to actually buy the ones we want to try out. I like the idea of 5 great colors after 5 lake favorites.
