We are praying for your Mother and the family. We wish her a speedy recovery.
I have lost two friends years back on cycle accidents, and I was coming home from town yesterday evening and witnessed one hit gravel on a curve in front of me and go down. He was very lucky as it only looks like a broken leg.
I hope the Doctors are wrong and that your Mom recovers in good shape.

Surgery went well today. Now it is time to HEAL.

Well, Mom is still resting after the surgery. She is tired and achy, but continues to get better. She is keeping all the nurses on their toes.

They say that by the weekend she should be out of the ICU and into a regular room.
