Posts: 1636 | Very cool Nate. They only carried a few for the time being. Good to know they sold!

Posts: 73 Location: Indiana | [...] Neither the MuskieLink one or the Muskie Buster one are first, so the point is moot. What you have to look at is quality. Here's the positives about each. Dunwright came up with the PVC idea and to market it to muskie guys (I think...ChaCha hasn't been able to respond with a better answer). MuskieLink/Armour made them right handed and left handed and little bit better. Muskie Bumper made them wide, right and left handed, and also a little bit better again. I'm not plugging for anyone here. Take a look at the boards. There are differences in each. Each person could chose any one of them for various reasons and not make a bad choice. But how you present youself on this site might affect those potential customer's reasons.

Posts: 73 Location: Indiana | Hey now....no need to get all riled up. I've talked to Mike a few times because we happen to be from Indiana. And Indiana is fairly small when it comes to Muskie fishing. And I did see the board he's pushing when he gave a presentation at our club meeting. But I wouldn't say we're buddies really. Just fellow muskie fishermen. I'm just trying to point out something in the progression of this thread. I do not know you. I don't know 99% of the people on this board. Most of us are not professional writers. So sometimes MEANINGS don't come across well in our posts. We might not mean to say something crappy, but that's how it might come out to the people reading our words. A voice tells us meaning as much as the words do...just on the internet there's no voice to go along with the words. I know you believe in your product. And you have customers and friends who believe in your product as well. And sometimes your strong feelings towards your own product come across in a negative way towards others. You might not mean for them too, but that's the impression I got as an impartial reader. I myself have a problem getting my point across apparently. So here goes again. Be careful what you say online, because it could be taken the wrong way by other people...and those people will then react towards you. Again, each of your products is good, and each product has a place. I might pick one, my brother might pick another, and you might pick yet another. There is no right or wrong. It's an open atmosphere and people either want positive or informative...not negative.

Posts: 1636 | Not a big deal to me other people are making them. I've even given people materials and the sticker to make their own. Building bump boards is not my day job. Just happy to help out and make a quality product.

Wow, I didn't think that something like a bumpboard was such an emotional issue for some people. The muskie bumper is the first bumpboard I have ever bought, but just from looking it over it really is a quality product. I even took it with me on my trip to Canada last month to measure some hawg walleyes. Great customer service from Tony as well.

it's important that people have a safe and fast way to measure fish (if they choose to measure at all). bump boards provide one of the best means to do this, imho. find one that works well for you and helps to ensure good releases.
