Location: Elko - Lake Vermilion | So, I fish Vermilion A lot... Tonight I fished the inside weed edge With a white double 8 bucktail with only 2 -35" ish Pike boated ...the water temps were 59-60... What I mean by Inside weed edge is ...The shore line out to the start of the weeds..... do any of you guys ever hit these areas at this time of the year ??
Gregg Thomas and Grocho won the PMTT on Bemidji using this tactic a few yrs. back..
How do you guys attack the inside weed edge.... Or do you ignore it ? |

Location: Waconia,MN | I've tried my last few times out with no luck with water temps in the low 60's. And it seems as if the lake i fish is already beginning to turnover.

Location: new richmond, wi. & isle, mn | All depends on the weedline. On big water you can fish it backwards. Boat in say 8' sand and cast out toward the inside edge. Other times you can run your boat through the weeds and have one casting over the outside line and one over the inside line. Tighter edges to shore make sure you can cast far enough that fish tight on the inside edge can see your bait coming. |
