I have a Terrova that does not have Universal Sonar. Anyone have a helpful suggestions on how to mount a transducer on a Terrova.....mainly a good way to secure the cable?

If it's a new unit, contact Minn Kota and they will arrange for you to send in your present transducer in exchange for a trolling motor mount transducer, or you can just get the bracket/clamp. (Super customer service!) I've found Scott Duncan's method of installation the most effective I've seen, much better than the manufacturer's suggestion. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G54WQVtErZ0

The cable for lowrance hds units does not fit through the collar, as the 'bird cable does. Any suggestions?
