Yesterday, I received this note from a board member of the Hayward Lakes Resort Association:

"At the Monday meeting of the Hayward Lakes Resort Association, they voted to support efforts for the management of some wisconsin waters as for their trophy potential. They made a statement that they support the current DNR proposal to create more trophy waters...and will continue to do so!"

That is great news! I hope that other associations decide to follow suit.

That's good to hear. I also read the chip's 45" limit is law now. Won't be too long before we hear alot about the good fish that will be in there.

Last night I attended a meeting held by The Headwaters Chapter of Muskies Inc. At the meeting were various guides in the Vilas and Oneida Co. area, several fisheries biologists, and members of the Ad Hoc Committe that created the list of waters that will have a vote to push the size limit to 50 inches.

Most guides seemed to be for it, but some were against it.

I do not want to get into a debate about the proposed higher limits. I do want to urge everyone to get out and vote this spring at the hearings.

If you want higher limits on the lakes vote yes, if not vote no. I will be casting a yes vote. God bless.
