Hi,Folks !!!

I have to change a broken lip on a crankbait.
I wish to use a hot gun .is it a good method or is it better to use a cutter ( using a dremel ) ?
Do you have some way/method/trick to suggest me ?
Thank you in advance !!!

A bandsaw or other cutting tool would work. Just make sure the lure is not a through wire. Tried cutting a broken lip out of a crane crankbait and I ended up cutting the wire!!

I have heated around the lip and pulled them out if it is just epoxied in. If you can get a hold of it with pliers heat it and wiggle it slowly. No guarantees you wont chip a piece of paint off when you try to pull it out though??

Thank you,Scott and Dave

The lure is a through wire.
I will try to use a hot gun to remove the broken lip ( never mind if I will lose a piece of paint off ).
