Location: Moorhead, MN | Hi fellow musky hunters,
I got into musky fishing last summer and didn't catch anything. But I was wondering if anybody knows a good musky lake in the Detroit Lakes area.
I know big DL has some muskies in it but alot of lakes in this area get pounded by jetskies and waterskiers.

| Jackpot,
Try Beers Lake in Maplewood statepark. Good numbers of fish and NO jetskies. If you like a lake with 2 uninhabited cabins, possibly another boat or two, but mostly canoes. Beers is for you.
E-mail me at [email protected] and i'll give you a few tips.

| Hi Guys,
I'm heading to that area too for several days in early July. Is Beers Lake big enough to be intersting for more than 2 days?
I'll be staying near the We Fest music place, there concerts scheduled and I'm going to make it an extended fish & music weekend.
Also, any hot tips for decent Supper Clubs around the area?
Cheers,
Papa Joe |

| For supper clubs, go to the Shoram--it's on a canal between Lakes Melissa and Sallie, I think. Cute place, good fish, burgers and pizza, it's been around since the 20's I think. Otherwise, there's Lakeside, which is a bit fancier right on the DL beach strip. |
